letters to myself

Dear Beautiful Soul,

First, rest.
Rest in the way your body has been longing for.
Rest without apology, without needing to earn it, without turning it into another thing to check off a list. Rest because you are human, because you have carried enough, because your nervous system deserves the quiet it has been craving. Let your shoulders soften. Let your breath slow. Let yourself be held by the ground beneath you.

Then, remember.
Remember the parts of you that existed before the hurry, before the weight, before you learned to quiet your own needs. Remember the way your laughter sounds when it’s unrestrained, the way your body feels in the warmth of the sun, the things you once loved without wondering if they were practical or productive. Remember who you are beneath the roles, the obligations, the noise. You are still here.

And when you are ready, rise.
Rise with intention, not urgency. Rise carrying only what matters now. Rise in a way that honors your pace, your truth, your boundaries. Rise knowing you are allowed to build a life that feels like yours, not one that is shaped entirely by what the world demands of you. Rise because you have rested and remembered — and now, your next chapter is calling.

This cycle is not a one-time journey.
You will return to rest. You will remember again. You will rise again. Each time, you will carry forward more of yourself. Each time, you will stand a little taller in your truth.

So today, I choose to rest.
I choose to remember.
I choose to rise.

With love,
Me 🌿
